DAWSON CREEK -- The City of Dawson Creek has announced the return of 'Slice of Summer Park n' Play' Days.

The events being held every second Wednesday through July and August will feature five different themed nights that will transform parks around the city.

Events scheduled for this year include:

  • July 3: Forest and Fairies in Leoppky Park at Loran Drive and 16 Street.
  • July 17: Imagination Universe at Mile 0 Park located on 1949 Alaska Avenue.
  • July 31: Magical Mischief in Tremblay Park at 1401 115 Avenue.
  • August 14: Comic Clash! Taking place in Parkhill Park at 300 97A Avenue.
  • August 28: Dino-Roar! In Kitchen Park at 1701 108 Avenue.

Activities for all ages will be free and will run from 6:00pm until 8:00pm beginning July 3rd.

“These events are a great way to get out, enjoy the summer evenings and visit with your community,” said the city in a media release.

The event is sponsored by Shell Canada, but those who are interested in sponsoring a city-wide event are being encouraged to contact dcevents@dawsoncreek.ca.
