FORT ST. JOHN -- RCMP in Fort St. John are searching for a man following a suspicious occurrence that occurred at a convenience store Thursday.
According to police, at approximately 7:25 p.m., a man at the store on 93rd Avenue approached a young girl and allegedly asked her where she lived and if she wanted to go outside to see puppies that were inside his car.
“The young girl said no and had no further interaction with the man,” said Cpl. Madonna Saunderson in a statement.
Mounties have released a surveillance video image of the suspect and are asking anyone who may have information that may identify him to contact the Fort St John RCMP at (250) 787-8100.
The suspect is being described as:
- Male, possibly Filipino
- 5’ 7
- 165 pounds
- Wearing all black clothing, sunglasses
- Driving a blue sedan
An investigation into the case is ongoing.
