FORT ST. JOHN -- Kelowna RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a man who was believed to be in Fort Nelson, but now may be in Fort St. John following recent wildfire evacuation orders.

Ketan Sharma was last heard from on March 1, 2024.

The 23-year-old talked to a friend on March 1st saying he was travelling to Surrey to visit a family member.

Sharma is not believed to have a vehicle or any known associates in the northern part of British Columbia and may possibly be seeking labour work.

His family and friends are concerned for his safety, as this behaviour is very uncharacteristic.

Fort St. John RCMP are assisting police in Kelowna to find the missing man.

Police currently has no further leads and are asking for the public's assistance. 

Sharma is described as:

  • South Asian
  •  5'10"
  •  145 lbs
  •  Balding
  •  Dark beard
  •  Wears glasses
