TAYLOR -- Drivers can expect lengthy delays as maintenance work gets underway on the Taylor Bridge.
According to Dawson Road Maintenance, the work is scheduled to begin Monday, May 6th at 9:00 am and continue until 3:00 pm on Friday, May 17th.
While crews perform maintenance and conduct bridge washing, oversized loads over 12’6 ft will not have access.
Overweight loads will have to wait until scheduled service is completed at 3:00 pm each day to cross, according to DriveSafeBC.
In addition, oversized loads may be asked to show their permit to confirm load size.
Travel over the Taylor Bridge by passenger vehicles will be reduced to single-lane alternating traffic and be led by pilot car from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm, and again from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm.
Dawson Road Maintenance says that its stakeholders will be notified.
