Winds of up to 80 km/hr expected for Peace Region and other areas of province's northeast

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. -- Not long after experiencing a winter storm warning, a special weather statement has been issued from Enviroment Canada.
Areas of the Peace region, Prince George, Stuart - Nechako, McGregor, Williston, Bulkley Valley, the Lakes District and Highway 97 - Pine Pass are expected too see strong winds throughout most of the day.
The weather statement calls for winds from the south and southwest blowing at 50 km/hr and possibly gusting up to 80 km/hr.
Caution should be taken to secure loose object and watch for falling debris due to the winds which are expected to calm down by late this evening.
