DAWSON CREEK -- The Prince George Fire Centre said 7 wildfires started in the Peace Region from Friday to Sunday.
They said 6 of the 7 fires happened in the Dawson Creek fire zone. The other fire started north of Moberly Lake with a size of 100 hectares, visible from highway 29.
The Centre said the exact cause of the fires is still under investigation.
4 of the fires are under control with 1 out and the other being held.
The Fire Centre is asking the public to follow outdoor burning regulations.
The wildfire danger rating for Dawson Creek is moderate with Fort St. John at a moderate to high rating.
