DAWSON CREEK -- A wildfire southwest of Dawson Creek is no longer an out-of-control wildfire. According to the BC Wildfire Service the Gisabelle Creek Wildfire is now listed as "being held". 

The fire was first discovered on August 13th near Gwillim Lake Provincial Park northwest of Tumbler Ridge. The Wildfire Service said the suspected cause of the fire is a lightning strike.

The wildfire is currently 3.02 hectares in size, and is not expected to grow based on current weather conditions.

The Clearwater Creek Wildfire near Williston Lake is still listed as 'out-of-control.' it is currently 35.8 hectares in size.
