DAWSON CREEK -- Altercations in a Prince George jail have left two Dawson Creek men with minor injuries.

Sources have told CJDC TV News that well-known suspect Tanner Murray was stabbed in the face.

It happened in October in the Prince George Remand Centre where Murray is currently in jail on several charges.

Sources have also shared that another Dawson Creek man, Ben Touchette had his nose broken in a separate altercation. Touchette is facing several charges after police executed a search warrant on a residence in Pouce Coupe.

Mounties say they seized 4 illegal firearms, over 20 other weapons and more than 300 rounds of ammunition from his vehicle. Police also say over 200 grams of suspected fentanyl and cocaine were also seized from the home.

Murray is in jail after Dawson Creek RCMP allege a search of his vehicle yielded over a thousand rounds of ammunition, a loaded gun and support gear for organized crime.

During the same search, police say they seized 1.2 kg of suspected fentanyl and heroin, over 700 grams of cannabis, 500 ml of suspected GHB, over 50 grams of suspected methamphetamine and over 100 grams of suspect psilocybin mushrooms amongst many other quantities of drugs.

The cousin of Renee Didier told the CBC's Fifth Estate, that Murray was in a motel room with Didier the morning she disappeared.

During our investigation looking into the murder of Didier, we asked the management of the Peace Villa Motel to look at the motel log. CJDC found a name associated to the room Murray and Didier were in that night. Motel management told us that no ID or credit cards were required to book a room. The room was not registered to Murray or the other man said to be in the room, Brian Mooney. CJDC TV News has the name that the room was registered to that night, but at this point it is unclear whether or not it was a false name.

Sources also tell CJDC TV News Murray spoke to Didier's cousin, Darylyn Supernant the day she disappeared.

CJDC reached out to the Ministry of Public Safety to confirm Murray and Touchette were injured in separate fights. They were unable to comment for privacy reasons, but they did confirm the two altercations took place in the remand centre. They also confirmed that the two men were treated for minor injuries by medical staff in the jail.

At this point, it's unclear who attacked the two men or why.
