DAWSON CREEK -- Tanner Murray, a suspect well-known to police, will remain in jail following his bail hearing.
He is in custody after police say a search of his residence in August led to the seizure of illegal guns, over 1000 rounds of ammunition, and drugs including suspected fentanyl and heroin. Police say support gear for organized crime was also seized.
Back in January, Murray was a fugitive on the run from police. He was arrested and charged with possessing a dangerous weapon, robbery and uttering threats. Despite direction from B.C.’s Attorney General on reverse onus, the judge in the case released Murray on bail.
Murray recently made headlines when he was at the centre of the Fifth Estate episode looking into Dawson Creek’s drug turf war. The CBC alleges Murray was in contact with Darylyn Supernant the day she disappeared.
Murray will remain in custody in Prince George, with his next scheduled court appearance on November 28th.
