DAWSON CREEK -- Dawson Creek RCMP are looking for the public's help in locating a man wanted a slew of charges who they say is actively avoiding police.

34-year-old Michael Trosky is wanted on 13 unendorsed warrants in British Columbia stemming from charges including: flight from police officer, dangerous operation of a vehicle, obstructing a police officer, assault, theft, and breaching his probation and his release orders.

According to RCMP, Trosky is also known to police in Alberta with outstanding warrants in connection to similar charges in that province.

Dawson Creek RCMP say Trosky is actively avoiding police and has been known to take drastic measures to avoid being apprehended.

Trosky is being described as an Indigenous man standing just over six feet tall with black hair, brown eyes, and weighs approximately 150 pounds.

RCMP are urging anyone who sees Trosky not to approach him and instead give police a call.

According to police, Trosky is believed to be in the Peace Region or Alberta area but has been known to frequent Southern parts of B.C. as well.
