FORT ST. JOHN -- The upcoming Fort St. John International Airshow has been cancelled.

The airshow was scheduled to take place on  August 3–4 at the North Peace Regional Airport.

Organizers said,  "The decision was made due to a lack of resources needed to provide a safe, efficient, and entertaining show this coming summer, as well as the anticipated risk of wildfire in the Peace Region as a result of low winter precipitation."

The Society that runs the airshow said it will be working hard behind the scenes to book new dates.

“It was a tough decision to make. We were excited to bring the air show back in 2022 after a 5-year hiatus and were looking forward to continuing on a 2-year cycle. Unfortunately, we are just not able to make it happen for this year,” says Sandi Miller, Airshow Producer.”
