DAWSON CREEK -- Two suspects facing charges in connection with an alleged shooting in Dawson Creek last month have been released, while a third remains in custody.

Vicki Ominayak, and Jared Anderson are both set to appear in court October 12 to consult legal counsel, while Freddy Ominayak will be arraigned October 19.

The three are facing charges of attempted murder with a firearm; discharge of a firearm with intent to wound or disfigure; aggravated assault; robbery; and assault with a weapon.

Freddy Ominayak is also accused of wilfully resisting or obstructing a Peace Officer.

On August 25, Police say a woman went to Dawson Creek Hospital suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, after being shot in the face.

After she talked to police, the Prince George Emergency Response Team was called in.

Officers located a male suspect at a motel in the 1700 block of Alaska Avenue.

Heavy police presence surrounded the motel where, investigators say the suspect was arrested without incident.
