DAWSON CREEK -- Two accidents happened on Highway 97 within an hour of each other on Monday morning.

The first accident occurred at 8:08am with a passenger bus crashing into a ditch near the 275 road outside of Dawson Creek.

A driver and 3 passengers were on broad at the time.

The passengers were taken to the Dawson Creek Hospital with minor injuries.

RCMP aren’t sure what caused the accident however ground fog was in the area at the time.

An hour later at 9:18am a semi truck rolled over at the 200 block on Highway 97 south.

The truck was hauling petroleum gas which spilled onto the road.  

The Highway was closed for nearly 12 hours later, reopening at 8:15pm.

The driver suffered non life threatening injuries.

 Sergeant Jamie Moffat said it’s important for drivers to slow down and drive to conditions.
