FORT ST. JOHN -- Three wildfires broke out out this weekend north of Fort St. John.

The three fires are all burning out of control near Nig Creek, approximately 30 kilometres northwest of Prespatou.

The fires broke out within 3 hours of each other on Saturday. All three are suspected to be human caused.

The BC Wildfire Service said that the Nig creek wildfires have been difficult to action due to the inaccessibility of the area by road.

A parattack crew was the first to get to the fire. BC Wildfire Servince crews from the Fort St John Fire Zone are now on scene battling the blaze.

"The fires experienced precipitation this morning, which assists firefighters with suppression efforts," said the Prince George FIre Centre.

All 3 fires are burning within 3 kilometers of each other just north of Nig Creek. The cause of all three fires remains under investigation.
