FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. -- Canfor's Pulp Mill in Taylor is curtailing production until early in the new year.

Canfor's operating officer says the mill will be curtailed for at least 4 weeks.

Don Kayne, Canfor CEO, says ‘The company is responding to what he calls significant transportation interruptions in B.C. due to recent flooding and rainfall in the province.’

With rail and highway networks being impacted, Kayne says it's critical to reduce production to manage inventory levels and ensure employee safety until the transportation network returns to normal operations.
