DAWSON CREEK, BC -- Dawson Creek police have identified a suspect in connection with vandalism to hanging flower baskets in the downtown area.
For several weeks, the hanging flower baskets around the city have been pulled down and damaged. City CAO Blair Lekstrom says five were vandalized this week alone.
Lekstrom says the damage from all the incidents has added up to several thousand dollars.
Mayor Dale Bumstead confirmed the city identified the suspect using security camera footage, which they turned over to police.
Dawson Creek RCMP are recommending charges of Mischief under $5000.
