FORT NELSON -- Police in Fort Nelson say one person has been arrested in connection with an arson case this summer.

In the early morning hours of June 15,th police were called to the scene of a vehicle fire on 44th Avenue in Fort Nelson.

A heavy wrecker tow truck and car were allegedly set on fire in a secure tow lot. Police allege that evidence shows an individual climbing onto the wrecker’s cab just before it caught fire. The compound fence had been cut to gain entry.

On Thursday investigators arrested Bryden Ashdown in connection with the June 15th arson.

The 41 year old is currently remanded into custody pending an upcoming court appearance. Ashdown has been charged with Break and Enter, Arson, and two counts of Uttering Threats.

Police say a scond suspected arson took place at the same business on September 12th.
