TAYLOR -- Drivers can expect delays along the Taylor Bridge this weekend as summer maintenance work gets underway.

The overnight work is scheduled to begin Friday, August 16th at 7:00 p.m. and continue until 3:00 a.m on Saturday, August 17th, according to DriveBC.

The planned maintenance will impact a 1.1 kilometre stretch of road between the Taylor Bridge and McMahon Drive.

Oversized loads over 12’6 ft will not have access to the bridge, and are being asked to schedule crossings to avoid delays by contacting Dawson Road Maintenance (DRM).

In addition, oversized loads may be asked to show their permit to confirm load size.

Travel over the Taylor Bridge by passenger vehicles will be reduced to single-lane alternating traffic and be led by pilot car.

Questions or concerns about scheduled maintenance can be directed to DRM’s Angie Crawford at 250-262-2600.
