POUCE COUPE, BC -- Firefighters responded to a structure fire in Pouce Coupe on Friday evening which heavily damaged a garage and a shed.

Pouce Coupe firefighters were called to the scene just before 6pm on Friday night. They responded with approximately ten firefighters and two pump trucks; three firefighters from Dawson Creek were also called in to assist.

No one was injured, but the fire heavily damaged a residential garage and attached shed. A nearby camper was also damaged.

Crews were on scene until approximately 11pm, taking about five hours to put out the blaze.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but firefighters do not believe it was suspicious.
