FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. -- Environment Canada issuing a snowfall warning for Highway 97- Pine Pass

A frontal system coming from the west will bring between 10 to 15 cm of heavy snow beginning this afternoon.

The heavy snow will continue into Thursday, getting lighter by the afternoon.

Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.

Public Safety Canada encourages everyone to make an emergency plan before travelling. It is also recomended to get, or create an emergency kit with drinking water, food, medicine, a first-aid kit and a flashlight.
