DAWSON CREEK -- A shooting occurred on 8th street and 98th avenue in Dawson Creek, resulting 1 victim being rushed to hospital.

Dawson Creek RCMP said on Friday night a number of shots were fired from one vehicle into another.

The driver was unharmed but the passenger suffered a gunshot wound.

He was first rushed to the Dawson Creek RCMP detachment and then to hospital.

The victim survived his injuries.

Police later spotted a vehicle believed to be involved in the shooting.

It was later pulled over on the Taylor Bridge.

One of the suspects attempted to flee but was arrested later by Mounties.

Both suspects were taken into Police custody.

Charges were laid against the driver but no charges related to the shooting have been issued.

The two suspects have been released from custody pending further investigation.
