CHARLIE LAKE, BC -- For the second time this year, Shady Acres Trailer Park in Charlie Lake is under a Do Not Consume Order.

Northern Health issued the order after a sample taken last week showed E.coli in the water. The health authority says it’s possible this was a sampling error, as new staff were taking the samples.

Residents are being urged not to drink the water until this is confirmed. Northern Health says the well is considered a low risk for pathogens, and staff will re-sample the water from all sites on the next available sample drop-off day.

Sterling Management, Shady Acres’ property owner, was required to notify residents of the order on Friday, November 25th.

Shady Acres was previously under a Do Not Consume order for several weeks in May.
