FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. -- Crews from the City of Fort St. John are working on a water leak at the corner of 93 Avenue and 102 Street.

The stretch of 93 Avenue, between 102 and 100 Street, is closed to traffic until repairs can be completed.

Businesses along the road remain open to the public.

A worker at the water leak tells CJDC, when temperatures reach extreme cold, damage to underground water lines can occur. The damage only becomes noticeable once temperatures warm up in a short span of time.
