DAWSON CREEK -- While the economy is recovering from the shock of COVID-19, real estate sales in the north continue to soar.

The B.C. Northern Real Estate Board reported a 10% increase in sales since this time last year.

Nine months into 2021, inventory remains low, keeping the demand high.

The average home price has increased to $358,000 from $323,000 last year.

At the end of September, 566 properties were up for sale in the Fort St. John area.
