DAWSON CREEK -- RCMP are searching for three suspects after gunshots rang out in Dawson Creek overnight.
Police say they received two 9-1-1 calls for reports of shots fired and responded to the scene near the Midtown Motel on Alaska Avenue shortly after 2:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Security video captured from the scene show that was no intended target in the shooting, according to RCMP.
Witnesses told police that one suspect fled northeast and an additional two suspects fled southwest.
A police canine dog attended the scene but was unable to track the alleged shooters who still remain at large.
Dawson Creek RCMP are now seeking the public’s assistance in tracking down the suspects.
They are asking anyone with dash-cam or surveillance video of the area during the time of the shooting to contact the detachment at (250) 784-3700.
