DAWSON CREEK -- Police are releasing more details after a pick-up truck rammed through the front entrance of the Dawson Creek Mall.
Mounties say the suspect in the brazen theft is still at-large. Police have recovered a vehicle they believe was used to smash through the front door and attempt to steal the ATM next to the Shoppers Drug Mart.
The vehicle is an older model, black GMC Sierra. Police say it was stolen from Alberta.
Dawson Creek RCMP arrived at the scene around 3:45am Wednesday to find the ATM in the lobby had been stolen.
There were reports the ATM was found in pieces, however Mounties now confirm it was located in the mall parking lot intact.
The mall’s video surveillance captured the scene. It has now been turned over to investigators.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone who may have information about this case is being asked to call the Dawson Creek RCMP
