FORT ST. JOHN -- Inaccurate rumours swirling on social media about a large police presence in Fort St. John Tuesday night.
Fort St. John RCMP responding to reports of a person with a gun on 87th Avenue.
As a precaution, officers telling neighbours living near-by to shelter in place.
Police tell CJDC TV News the incident turned out to be an individual suffering from a medical condition.
Officers said the individual in crisis did not have a weapon of any kind. The person was taken to the Fort St. John Hospital for evaluation.
