FORT ST. JOHN, BC -- The Committee in charge of replacing the North Peace Leisure Pool is looking for a location for the new facility.

The City of Fort St. John, District of Taylor, and Peace River Regional District is putting out a call for expressions of interest. They want to identify land available for sale or donation where a new pool could be built.

This move comes after a lengthy public engagement about the pool’s future. The district has known since 2018 that the current pool does not meet the needs of the community.

Proposals will be accepted until September 22. They will then be reviewed by the North Peace Leisure Facility Replacement Steering Committee and the PRRD.
