FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. -- The province of B.C. is funding three new projects to boost mental health and social services in the Peace Region.

Just over $354,000 is being invested through the Northern Healthy Communities Fund.

Fort st. John Friendships Society is receiving $213,520. The money is going towards child and youth programs, along with expanding the building.

South Peace Child Development Centre in Dawson creek is receiving $53,600. Funding is going towards creating more spaces in daycare and better access to child care.

South Peace Art Society in Dawson Creek is receiving over $87,120. The investment will be to support mental health and expanding children’s programs.
