DAWSON CREEK, BC -- Dawson Creek police have identified a man believed to be involved in a hit-and-run last Friday.

RCMP previously asked the public for help in identifying the suspect.

Police say they received a report of the incident on Friday around 4:30pm. It happened in the parking lot of the 11000 block of 8th street, where the man allegedly hit a pedestrian with a lifted black Ford pickup truck, then fled the scene.

The incident was caught on security surveillance footage, and police released the suspect’s image.

Police have now confirmed the suspect has been identified; however, they have not released the suspect’s name. No charges have been laid as of yet.
