Vaccination rates are rising in Northern BC this week. 

 

According to Northern Health, more than 80% of people 12 years and older in Northern BC, have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, and 76% are fully vaccinated.

 

As of December 1st, 80% of Fort St. John residents have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, 72% of those residents are fully vaccinated. 

Dawson Creek is showing, 72% of residents have received their first dose, and 65% are fully vaccinated.

In Chetwynd 70% of residents have received one dose of the vaccine, and in Fort Nelson and Hudson’s Hope 74% and 75% of residents have received at least one vaccination.

 

Rural areas of the region are still showing the lowest vaccination rates with first doses at 55% in Peace River North Rural and 61% Peace River South Rural; rates for double doses are close to the same as the single dose.
