FORT ST. JOHN -- The COVID-19 outbreak at the Peace Villa long-term care facility in Fort St. John is over.

On Friday, Northern Health announced the end of the outbreak, that was contained to Meadow House at the care facility.

In November, one resident who tested positive in association with the outbreak passed away.

The outbreak was declared on November 4th, following lab-confirmed cases among residents and staff on the unit at the Fort St. John hospital.

Three residents and three staff  tested positive for the virus.

Northern Health says no more cases of the virus were confirmed.
