DAWSON CREEK -- The extreme cold warning is still in effect, with temperatures dropping below -30.
Northern Health says due to these freezing temperatures they are short staffed because staff could not make it to the clinic.
Those looking to be vaccinated in the Fort St. John Health Unit, should expect longer than usual wait times.
However, due to the cold weather, the health unit will be taking phone numbers, so those who are waiting can wait in their car instead of outside.
The health unit is looking for ways to decrease the wait time in the coming days, such as increasing capacity or allowing for booked appointments.
