FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. -- Now that outdoor temperatures in the Peace Region have warmed up, the North Peace Leisure Pool in Fort St. John has re-opened.

The extreme cold that hit the region caused mechanical failures, forcing the pool to temporarily close its doors.

Some amenities like the Hot Tub, Steam Room and Sauna will remain closed.

The cardio room is also currently closed due to ongoing pandemic restrictions

Proof of vaccination will be required to visit the leisure pool for anyone aged 12 or older.

Vaccination proof will not be required for those participating in organized youth sports, such as swimming lessons or swim club, or workplace training like first aid courses.

The schedule for the pool can be found here.
