An accident near Pouce Coupe Thursday has claimed the life of a young boy. Dawson Creek RCMP said the boy died after a side-by-side rolled over on a rural property.
The accident happened around 1pm Thursday. Police say that 2 children were riding in the side by side when it rolled.
Fire departments from Pouce Coupe and Dawson Creek attended the scene, as did the Dawson Creek RCMP and STARS Air Ambulance.
According to police, the young boy died at the scene from his injuries. A 7-year-old girl with life threatening injuries was airlifted to an Edmonton hospital in critical condition.
There is no update on the condition of the young girl.
