A Dawson Creek-based company has been fined by WorkSafeBC following an inspection of a two-story apartment building in the city.
Raptor Mountain Roofing has been ordered to pay $2500 in penalties.
According to the agency, workers and a company representative were observed on a sloped roof at the time of inspection without any form of fall protection being used or in place.
The violation put the workers at risk of falling approximately 22 feet, according to a report by WorkSafeBC.
The penalty follows repeat offenses for the same high-risk violation with the fines imposed to ensure compliance with safety regulations and to protect workers from future potential harm.
