Thousands were without power in Northern BC on Sunday after strong winds swept across the region overnight.
According to BC Hydro, 73,000 customers were without electricity across Northern B.C. on Sunday morning.
B.C. Hydro says some Northern BC customers are expected to be without power until Monday.
High winds brought down trees and powerlines. In Dawson Creek, the roof of the Ramada Inn was partially torn off due to the storm.
There were no injuries reported as no one was in the affected rooms at the time of the storm.

Across the Peace Region winds were gusting upwards of 90 kilometres per hour. Power outages were reported from Pouce Coupe to Wonowon.
The storm hit the region after Environment and Climate Change Canada issued a ‘yellow’ wind warning.
The Co-op Gas Bar sign in Dawson Creek was also damaged due to high winds. The sign was repaired by Sunday afternoon.
