CJDC-TV has obtained new exclusive footage from the alleged arson at a barbershop in Fort St. John last week.
In the early morning hours of July 12, Mounties received a call about a fire at the Golden Hands Barbershop in the 9,200 block of 100 Street.
At almost the same time, they received a second call about damage to The Barbershop FSJ, located a block away, on 93 Avenue.
At the time, the owners of Golden Hands Barbershop posted pictures of a broken window and fire debris on social media, saying “we were violated.”
The owners are now coming forward with new security footage collected over the past 11 days, showing potential evidence of what happened that night.
The video shows a white truck with a flat deck driving into the parking of the barbershop. Shortly after, someone appears to get out of the truck and lights a fire. The vehicle then drives away from the scene, as the shop burns in the background.
The video then follows the truck on 93 Avenue before stopping in front of The Barbershop FSJ. Someone appears to get out of the vehicle and to walk towards the building, but it is hard to determine from the video, whether they broke the front window of the shop.
The owners are asking for the publics help. They are offering a $5,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest. If you have any information, you are being asked to contact the Fort St. John RCMP at 250-787-8100.
