An accident north of Fort Nelson shut down Highway 97 Tuesday morning.
Northern Rockies RCMP were on scene for most of the day, and say a semi-truck went down an embankment.
According to DriveBC, the crash occurred at KM 605 and a stretch of 35 kilometres was closed.
Police now say the highway will have alternating traffic until the scene is clear.
No information was provided on if the crash resulted in any injuries.
