DAWSON CREEK, B.C. - The U15 Rep KFC Canucks are ready to kick off their season on home ice this weekend.
The Canucks will host the Grande Prairie U15 Knights in their home opener on Saturday, October 3rd at Memorial Arena in Dawson Creek.
Head coach Derek Bassett says the team is eager to begin the season and start building chemistry with several new players in the lineup.
“Our team is looking ready to go for a fun competitive season with a bunch of new faces on the team. We look forward to getting into the team building and gelling process right off the bat, and be able to compete at a high level in the All Peace League,” said Bassett.
The matchup marks the start of the 2026-27 campaign for the local squad as they take on a familiar All Peace League rival.
Coach Bassett is encouraging the community to come out and support the team as they open the season at home in front of local fans.
The puck drops at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Arena.
