The BC Centre for Disease Control (BC CDC) says there has been two more possible measles exposures in Fort St. John.

The BC CDC said the two possible exposures were at the Emergency Department at the Fort St. John Hospital.

The first incident occurred on November 4th, from midnight to 1 am. The second happened on November 5th, from 7:10 pm to 11 pm.

Health officials say that measles is one of the most highly contagious diseases. The virus spreads through close personal contact with an infected person and through the air, when an infected person coughs or sneezes.

The measles virus can be spread by droplets that can stay in the air for several hours.
