A head-on collision between two semi-trucks on the Alaska Highway resulted in the deaths of both drivers.
The RCMP told CJDC-TV News one of the drivers died at the scene, while the other driver later died from his injuries.
Mounties said a passenger was also taken to hospital but did not release information about the extent of their injuries.
The crash shut down the Alaska Highway for most of the day Monday, and it remained closed overnight.
Police said the crash was reported at 12:39 pm and happened north of Pink Mountain.
It remains unclear whether weather and road conditions were a factor in the accident.
However, a travel advisory had been issued for most of the Alaska Highway from Wonowon to the Yukon border due to hazardous driving conditions, including low visibility from blowing snow.
