Mackenzie RCMP responded to a second crash on Highway 97 near Pine Pass, closing the highway temporally.

Mounties said the accident involved a single vehicle, and no injuries were reported. A semi went off the road as a result, blocking the southbound traffic.

RCPM are currently investigating the crash but have not released details about the cause.

This comes after a fatal crash on August 16 that shut down Highway 97 near Mackenzie.

A 28-year-old woman from North Vancouver, who was a passenger in a Ford Bronco, was killed in that crash.

RCMP noted that they have now responded to four fatal accidents in Northeast BC since August 1st.
