DAWSON CREEK, B.C. - Thousands of people lined the streets of downtown Dawson Creek Friday morning for what many consider the community’s biggest annual event, the Rotary Clubs Fall Fair Parade.
Families, residents and visitors packed sidewalks along the parade route as dozens of floats, community groups, local businesses and organizations made their way through the city’s downtown core.
The event showcased the spirit of the community while offering spectators a colourful display of creativity and local pride.
This year’s parade theme,“Out of the Box,” encouraged participants to think creatively in designing their entries, with floats featuring imaginative displays, costumes and decorations.
The annual event brought together people of all ages and highlighted the strong community involvement that has made the parade a longstanding tradition in Dawson Creek.
The Rotary Clubs Fall Parade is one of the signature events of the summer in Dawson Creek, regularly drawing large crowds and participation from businesses, non-profit groups, service clubs and community organizations.
The parade also serves as a celebration of the city’s community spirit, with residents gathering downtown to cheer on participants and reconnect with friends and neighbours.
