The Northwest Junior Hockey League has announced the return of the Slave Lake Wolves for the upcoming 2026-2027 season.

Slave Lake was formerly part of the NWJHL prior to the team dissolving in 2014.

At the NWJHL Annual General Meeting on April 27, a motion was passed to accept the Wolves as the league’s ninth team.

The Wolves will be led by General Manager Calvin Beauchamp and President Alex Pavcek, who are in the process of recruiting players and interviewing for coaching staff.

The 40-game regular season will start on September 18, 2026.
