TAYLOR, B.C. – Residents of Taylor are being invited to gather and pay tribute to Canada’s veterans and fallen service members during the District of Taylor’s annual Remembrance Day ceremony next week.
The ceremony will take place Wednesday, November 11, at 10:30 a.m. at the Taylor Community Hall.
It will feature a Colour Guard march, speakers and a moment of reflection in honour of those who served and sacrificed for the country.
District officials say the event is an opportunity for the community to come together and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to Canada.
Following the ceremony, attendees will be invited to stay for a light lunch.
Organizers are also seeking speakers for the ceremony. Anyone interested in sharing words of remembrance and reflection is encouraged to contact the Community Services Hub.
Those wishing to place a wreath during the service can order one through the Fort St. John Royal Canadian Legion or the Community Services Hub.
Wreaths must be delivered to the Community Services Hub no later than 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10.
