The South Peace District Crime Prevention Association (SPDCPA) is set to host its second annual golf tournament this weekend at the Dawson Creek Golf Course.
The event on Saturday promises a day of fun, food, and community spirit, in support of helping reduce crime across the Peace Region.
Association Vice President Kyle MacDonald said, “What you can expect this weekend, is good family fun. We play four-person best ball, we don’t keep score we just come out and have a fun day on the golf course.”
Breakfast begins at 8am, while the shotgun start gets underway at 9.a.m. After the round, there will be steak dinner and prizes.
Entry fee for the tournament is $600 for a foursome with a discount offered for kids. A few spots are still open. To sign up, contact the association using the email spdcpa24@gmail.com.
Partial proceeds from the event will support Northern B.C. Crime Stoppers.
The SPDCPA operates Citizen on Patrol, Rural Crime Watch, Safe Ride Home, Speed Watch & Distracted Driving Detention (ICBC Partnership) and Senior Fraud Prevention.
