Shopper trips suspect being chased by Dawson Creek RCMP

Dawson Creek RCMP are thanking a member of the public for helping officers arrest a fleeing suspect.

Mounties say that two members of the RCMP Violence Supression Team noticed a suspect in the Dawson Creek Walmart parking lot, who was wanted on three outstanding warrants.

Adam Dahr allegedly ran towards the entrance of the store when he spotted police. A shopper noticed the chase and stuck out his leg, tripping Dahr. Mounties were then able to arrest him

Dahr was wanted on warrants totaling 15 charges. Among the charges; aggravated assault, pointing a firearm at another person, robbery, resisting a police officer and theft of a motor vehicle.

In February of 2024, Dahr was charged in connection with a violent home invasion in Dawson Creek. He was released on bail by a judge in Grande Prairie.
