Dawson Creek RCMP say several people are in custody following a home invasion over the weekend.
Police responded to a call in the 9,300 block of 8th Street in the early morning hours of Sunday. Mounties say two different units in a four-plex were broken into.
Witnesses told officers the suspects were allegedly carrying weapons.
By the time officers arrived at the four-plex, the suspects had fled the scene. A witness was able to provide the description of a vehicle to police.
The suspects were later found outside of a local motel. Police were able to arrest and take them into custody without incident.
RCMP say it was a targeted event and there is no risk to the public. The individuals remain in police custody pending charges.
