Saulteau First Nations re-elect Rudy Paquette as chief

Saulteau First Nations have re-elected Rudy Paquette as their Chief for the 2026 to 2029 term.

Paquette was first elected in 2022 after serving two terms as councillor. He will lead a team of new and familiar faces.

Ashley Barrett and Tammy Watson were elected as councillors for the first time.

Councillors Donovan Cameron and Justin Gauthier were both re-elected.

According to Saulteau First Nations’ website, “The purpose of the Saulteau First Nations chief and council is to act on behalf of Saulteau First Nations citizens and protect their Treaty 8 Rights and Aboriginal Rights and Title.”
